In the week in which the COP26 starts in Glasgow, the UN sent an important message to the world with the campaign “Don’t choose extinction”. Brazilian citriculture already made this choice a long time ago: in the last 30 years, it has reduced its planted area by 40% without losing productivity. Today, the native vegetation preserved by citrus growers on their farms totals 181,750 hectares, an area larger than the city of London.
